SkyCaddie SG5 GPS
#1 Rangefinder in Golf
INTRODUCING THE SKYCADDIE SG5 PRO
The first member of the Pro Series. The New SG5 Pro features SkyGolf's
advanced GPS technology integrated with the very best Swiss engineering to
provide unmatched reliability.
The SG5 is for golfers who want a SkyCaddie with advanced features, a
large color display and a long-lasting rechargeable battery. SkyGolf’s
advanced GPS technology is integrated with the very best Swiss engineering to
provide unmatched reliability. The SG5 includes SkyGolf’s patented
IntelliGreen® technology, enabling golfers to measure the full depth and shape
of the green from any angle of approach and shows distances for all targets
and hazards on any of SkyGolf’s many thousands of professionally mapped
courses. Its vibrant color display features automatic backlighting to ensure
easy readability indoors and outdoors.
The Next Generation Rangefinder
Using a powerful microprocessor, GPS, and satellite-based accuracy
enhancement technology, the SkyCaddie automatically calculates, as you move,
distances to up to forty targets per hole simultaneously in less than a
second. You will already have your number when you get to your ball.
No aiming, no missing. You don't need a clear line of sight or
reflective target with the SkyCaddie. Because the targets are pre-programmed,
the SkyCaddie eliminates the need to aim through a lens, accidentally hitting
the wrong target on a hole, or trying to hit a pin with a laser beam at 200
yards.
More time to focus on your game. Since distances are automatic with the
SkyCaddie, you can quickly select the right club and think only about your
swing. Avoid hidden trouble. Get accurate measurements over hills, trees, and
obstructions to any target. Play confidently and knock strokes off your game.
Measures the distance of your shots.
Learn how far you hit your drive, 5-iron, 9-iron, or wedge with a touch
of a button. Use it on any golf course. With a SkyPlayer membership, you can
choose from thousands of available SkyCourses from our website to download to
your SkyCaddie. Or you can record the front, center, and back of each green on
the courses you play using the built-in SkyCourse Setup module.
Simple, powerful and totally portable. Just let the SkyCaddie see the
sky, and it'll do all the yard work for you! Plus, at a mere 4.8 ounces, it
goes anywhere you go. Now your game can measure up, just like the SkyCaddie!
SkyCaddie™ Handheld GPS Units SkyCaddie™ portable GPS rangefinder— know
the yardage to your target and know how far you're hitting each club!
What a great idea — a handheld GPS for golfers that determines your
yardage to the green (and to other targets) on any course you play! SkyCaddie™
GPS is so much more useful than those cart-based satellite systems — and it
instantly makes all other range finders obsolete!
Using a powerful microprocessor, GPS (Global Positioning System) and
satellite-based accuracy enhancement technology, SkyCaddie automatically
calculates distances to 40 targets per hole — simultaneously in less than a
second. Results are displayed on a simple, easy-to-read LCD screen.
What's the yardage?
With SkyCaddie GPS, you give yourself the same advantage a tour player
gets with a caddie — the confidence that comes from knowing your distance to
your target. With SkyCaddie, the only required line of sight is to the sky —
where the GPS satellites are; you get accurate measurements over hills and
through trees and other obstructions.
How far did I hit that?
Choose the right club with confidence, too, because — as you play your
round — SkyCaddie measures how far you are hitting each club, from wedge to
driver. Just stand where your ball lies and push a button; hit your shot and
then push the button again from the new lie to know exactly the yardage each
club is giving you that day!
SkyCourse and your course.
For setting up any course that is not yet a SkyCourse, just select the
built-in SkyCourse Setup mode — marking the front, center and back of all 18
greens. Once done, your SkyCaddie GPS automatically calculates your distance
to those targets as you move down the fairway. No more hunting for elusive
sprinkler-head markers!
USGA APPROVED!
**Golf's governing bodies, the United States Golf Association and the
Royal & Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews, have recently announced 111 changes
to the book, "Decisions on the Rules of Golf", published every two years and
effective for golfers beginning on January 1, 2006.
The 2006-2007 edition of the "Decisions on the Rules of Golf" includes
37 new decisions and 66 revised decisions. Eight decisions have been dropped.
While many of the new rules will change the game slightly, one rule is
likely to cause quite a stir on and off the course - Decision 14-3/0.5 allows
distance-measuring devices by Local Rule - if there is no Local Rule in
effect, then the device would remain illegal for tournament play. This Rule
applies to devices that measure distance only, and not any other conditions
that might affect play (such as wind or gradient).
